Thierry Henry and Ashley Cole made the all-time greatest team of the Premier League

In a pole conducted by BBC, where fans were invited to pick their premier league 11 of the past 25 years from 1992 when the Premier league started, 379, 172 people responded, which sees Henry and Cole picked in the greatest all-time team of the premier league.

Ashley Cole garnered 207,762 to be earn the best left back. Cole total points is at least 100,000 more than nearest players, former Manchester United Patrice Evra and Denis Irwin combined.

Although Ashley Cole did not finish his career at Arsenal, in fact he left in a very controversial circumstances to arch rival Chelsea in 2006 following a contract dispute at Arsenal but he was part of the early glorious time of Arsene Wenger, including the “Invicibles” team of 2003-2004.

Following the end of his career at Chelsea, he later became a football journey man playing in Ital and the US.



Henry arrived from Juventus for £11m in 1999 on the back of the sale of Nicolas Anelka to Madrid for £23.5m, during the days Arsene wenger was known as Professor, who is capable of unearthing star players even when no other manager can identify them.

This was very true for Henry, played largely as a winger at Juventus and Monaco but found his role down the middle for Arsenal.

The rest they say is story, he became the most prolific striker in the history of the club, netting total of 228 goals in all competitions and 175 premier league goals, which put him in the fifth place on the all time premier league goal scorers behind Alan Shearer 260, Wayne Rooney 200, Andrew Cole 187 and Frank Lampard 177.
