JULIAN DRAXLER & ALEXIS SANCHEZ:
The imminent transfer of Alexis Sanchez has taken a dramatic turn overnight, as Arsene Wenger have suddenly realized the need for a replacement before selling his only asset.
Wenger initially insisted the need to sell players before buying any player but the table has turned on that principle now, he now wants to buy Julian Draxler from PSG as a condition to sell Alexis Sanchez to Manchester City.
Technically, this should not be a problem as Draxler is surplus to requirement at PSG and he is reported not to be happy as well, however, there is the tendency for PSG to want to up the price seeing that Arsenal may be desperate to close a deal before the window shut.
Metro and Daily Star are reporting that if the Draxler deal did not go through for Arsenal, Wenger will block the transfer of Alexis.
Manchester City on their part have sent medical team to Chile to enable Alexis undergo the customary medicals as soon as a deal is agreed.
RIYAD MAHREZ GIVEN PERMISSION TO LEAVE ALGERIA TO RESOLVE HIS FUTURE:
In another MAHREZ twist, it seems a transfer from Leicester City is on the card.
The Algerian Football Federation announced that Mahrez was given permission to leave the Algeria squad and return to Europe to “formalise his transfer to his new club”.
The secretive destination of Mahrez is unknown but it wont be for too long. It has to happen in less that 24 hours.
Arsenal wants him but seems to have back out from a deal to sign him, Emmanuel Petit wants Arsenal to sign him as he sees him as an upgrade on the likes of Theo Walcott.
Mahrez was mentioned in our transfer round up yesterday that Arsenal does not seem to be in any hunt for him, indeed if Wenger is looking at buying him, it must be covertly, however, the fact that Mahrez has now flown back to Europe, there maybe just a chance that Arsenal is in with a chance. Surely, the £40 from Chamberlain will be invested somewhere? NO?
Roma have few offers up to £32m rejected by Leicester.
AC Milian and Barcelona have also previously been mentioned to wants him.
DEALS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN THE FINAL DAY OF TRANSFER:
Liverpool is still keen to buy Lemar despite buying Chamberlain.
Liverpool have also increased their offer to £75m for Lemar, however Barca have entered the race for his signature.
Arsenal was linked to Lemar all through the transfer window, Wenger declared the possibility of Arsenal buying him “dead” because Monaco will not sell. It appears now that once again, Wenger may be wrong, as he was through out the season.
VIRGIL VAN DIJK:
Van Dijk is also very likely to move, he is top of Liverpool manager’s Jurgen Klopp’s top priority.
Arsenal was briefly mentioned yesterday but that speculation am afraid does not have wings, instead Arsenal has put in an offer of £25M for Jonny Evans which has been turned down.
Jonny Evans was not good enough for Manchester United 5 years ago but is now Arsenal prime targets. Scandalous
