Chelsea host Arsenal at the Bridge in a London derby on Sunday 17th at 13:30

Arsene Wenger believe the shorter rest Arsenal would have prior to Sunday clash, compared to Chelsea’s will not affect the players performance.

In an interview with, Wenger acknowledge the aerial prowess of Alvaro Morata and the danger he possess in crosses, this compared to Diego Costa who lurks behind defenders to cause havoc.

So, Arsenal will be facing a familial foe in Chelsea but with different type of danger upfront.

Kolasinac rapid adaptation to the team and Hector Bellerin return to his old self are some of the positive Wenger will be drawing upon.



Arsene Wenger have played Chelsea 58 times, winning 22, loosing 21 and drawn 15 times. 

The most recent game against Chelsea was the community shield game that saw Arsenal came from behind to snatch victory from Chelsea. both teams took care of business in their respective home games last year. Arsenal won 3-0 at the Emirate while Chelsea beat Arsenal 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.

 Both teams won their respective last two games, Arsenal scored 6 and conceded 1 while Chelsea scored 8 and conceded 1.
