Arsenal defeat Brighton to go 5th but have 3 more Premier League matches in October, we briefly look at the oppositions in October and probable points Arsenal can put together ahead of November, the months that often kick-starts the infamous Arsenal slump.
ARSENAL’S OCTOBER FIXTURES:
ARSENAL VS BRIGHTON
Arsenal first game in October before the international break went in favour of the gunners thanks to Nacho Monreal and Alex Iwobi goals.
The last time Brighton beat Arsenal was in 1982 in the then League division one, in fact, Arsenal was defeated home and away that year by Brighton. Since then, the two clubs have met four times with Brighton losing in all those occasions against Arsenal, the last being in the FA Cup in 2015.
Brighton who gained promotion to the Premier League this season currently sits at 14th position on the table with 7 points, defeating Newcastle in their last league game.
WATFORD VS ARSENAL:
Watford has started the season very well, currently sitting in the 8th position with 12 points, just a point below Arsenal in the league, however Arsenal recent form both in the league and Europe suggests Arsenal will go into this game with a lot of confidence.
This remains a tricky match for Arsenal on the account of Watford recent away form, defeating Southampton and Swansea away but going down to six un-replied goals to Manchester United.
The last time Watford played Arsenal in the Premier League, Arsenal was beaten at home 1-2 by Watford.
Considering recent form, Arsenal is projected to walk away with 3points.
EVERTON VS ARSENAL:
Everton defeats Arsenal in this fixtures last year 2-1 at Goodison Park, although Arsenal took their own pound of flesh at the Emirate in the return leg, since then, the fortunes of both clubs have diverged.
Everton spent heavily in the summer, bringing in 15 players and spending £140m in the process, admittedly the club sold many other players to create rooms for the incoming ones. The result of the whole change has not been very good, but Arsenal will be hoping Everton did not find its form on the day.
Ronald Koeman and Everton are not always easy proposition and so despite the poor run of form by Everton, the match is definitely not going to be a walkover.
Considering recent form, Arsenal again is projected to walk away with the 3points
ARSENAL VS SWANSEA:
Arsenal beats Swansea home and away last season and Swansea is not having the best time in the league at the moment, gathering just 5 points from possible 21, not winning a single league match in September and scoring just one league goal the whole month, compared with Arsenal that has risen to 5th position on the back of fairly good form.
Again considering the recent good run of form, Arsenal is expected to take all points in this fixture.

TOP FIVE AS IT STANDS
END OF OCTOBER ARSENAL PROBABLE POSITION:
Arsenal is projected to take the remaining 9 points in October and is currently One point behind Tottenham who faces Liverpool and Manchester United in the same month, thus Tottenham is projected to drop below Arsenal by the end of October.
Chelsea is currently tied on points with Arsenal but ahead of Arsenal on goal difference, Chelsea has a relatively easy October fixtures, playing Crystal Palace, Watford and Bournemouth and so are projected to take the remaining 9 points on the table in October. Who is ahead on the table will be down to goal difference between Chelsea and Arsenal.
Manchester United has a whopping 6 points advantage ahead of Arsenal and joint top with Manchester but below on goal difference, however, with games against Liverpool and Tottenham coming up, there is a chance Manchester United will drop between 2-3 points but are not expected to drop up to 6 points in a worse case scenario, hence Manchester United will still be comfortably ahead of Arsenal by October ending
Manchester City, similar to Chelsea also have relatively easy fixtures, with matches against Stoke, Burnley and West ham, City is projected to take all the remaining 9 points in October.
With Chelsea and Arsenal projected to win all their matches in October and Tottenham projected to drop points, Arsenal is likely to end the month in 4th position, just behind Chelsea with the difference between the two clubs being the goal difference.
