Arsenal hunt for Alexis Sanchez replacement has seen many players linked to the club, it was Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha last week, with a reported £35m offer being prepared by the club, today, however, it is the turn of another Premier League in-form player.
If DAILY STAR is to be believed, Arsenal has joined Tottenham in wanting Watford Brazilian winger Richarlison.
Richarlison joined Watford from Fluminense where he played 49 matches and scored 9 times for £11.5m, and has since scored 4 goals from 11 Premier League appearances before Sunday’s match against West Ham.
Arsenal is looking for a marquee signing, the likes of Monaco’s Thomas Lemar and Lyon’s captain Nabir Fekir have been linked, but both of them are commanding a price tag in the range of £70-£90m with no strong indication that their various club will sell, come January.
Arsenal’s 11 straight Emirate league victory in an emphatic manner with both Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in a commanding role with 1 assist and 1 goal between them showed that the attacking formation is beginning to take shape alongside club record signing Lacazatte as seen against Everton and Tottenham, but the pre-existing nagging contract issues and the reported desires of both Ozil and Alexis to leave threaten this new dynamic.
If either or both player leaves in January or even in the summer, the club will be irresponsible not to be planning ahead for this possibility, the question remains though whether Zaha or Richarlison can fill the big hole that would be left by the Alexis Sanchez.
