Here are Arsenal’s defenders’ position before Liverpool 2nd & 3rd goals
Arsenal played a 3 all draw with Liverpool, this seems a fair result considering that Arsenal has lost 3 consecutive league games to Liverpool prior to this game and have also gone down 2 nil already in the game, hence Arsenal fans at 2-0 down would already be bracing up for another defeat.
A 3-goal rout within 5 minutes spell turned the game around for Arsenal and almost hand the gunners an unexpected victory, only to concede a third.
However, it now seems that at least two of Liverpool’s goals were preventable but for Arsenal defender’s position leading up to those goals.

The image above was of Mo Salah goal that gave Liverpool 2-0 up. At least 3 Arsenal defenders were caught on an “island” exposing the goalkeeper and allowing Mo Salah a run on the goal.

Arsenal defending leading up to Liverpool’s equalizer
The image above shows how poorly and loosely the defenders marked. Even though there were enough of them but they failed to close down players and more importantly they left Firmino the space to operate in.
At 3-2 up, coming from 2-0 down, you would have thought the defending and commitment would be better.
These are lack of discipline and commitment from the players and most importantly, the manager’s inability to combine attacking with defensive discipline again was exposed.
